Awajishima Bokujo

Encounter animals in the lush nature of Awaji Island: A soothing dairy farm experience

The cows, sheep, and goats that live carefree in this vast area give a warm welcome to visitors to Awajishima Bokujo.

This farm, which is free to enter, provides a wide range of experiences that everyone in the family, from children to adults, can enjoy. It’s also a perfect place to learn about food.

We recommend the milking experience, with careful instruction from dedicated staff. This experience, which allows you to directly touch warm cow’s milk, helps participants to truly understand the importance of life and value of food, and is certainly a worthy experience for children.

There’s also a butter-making experience, in which you can use the freshly obtained cow’s milk. The just-made deliciousness of your own butter is extraordinary!

You can enjoy a variety of other experiences, including feeding milk to calves, a “muddy” experience where you can have fun getting muddy as you harvest vegetables, and a “pony merry-go-round,” where you can walk around on a real pony.

Don’t forget to try the soft serve ice cream made with tasty Awaji Island milk when you visit this farm! You can really taste the rich, milky flavor—it’s utterly delicious!

Their shop sells a variety of souvenirs, including Awaji Island cow’s milk, confections made with Awaji Island cow’s milk, and toy cows.

Why not visit this soothing place where you can encounter cute creatures on the next day off?
