Arima Onsen Kin no Yu

Refresh your mind and body in Arima’s famous “golden waters”

Arima Onsen is one of Japan’s oldest hot-spring areas, lying at the northern foot of Mt. Rokko. Arima Onsen Kin no Yu, located at the heart of this hot-spring resort, is a hot-spring facility for day trips where you can easily make the most of the red-brown colored “golden” spring waters synonymous with Arima Onsen.

These “golden” waters, with an abundance of iron and salt, are characterized by their excellent heat retention and moisturizing effects. It is said they have benefits such as helping sensitivity to cold, back pain, and neuralgia, and have soothed large numbers of people since ancient times. Ichi no Yu, the men’s bath, is a space inspired by the bamboo used for Arima Onsen’s traditional handicrafts, while the women’s bath, Ni no Yu, was made in the image of the crimson fall leaves in Zuihoji Park. You can leisurely enjoy two bathtubs, one tepid and the other hot, in each.

You can use the neighboring Taiko Footbath free of charge to rest your tired feet after a walk through the hot-spring resort. This is a spot where you can really feel the charm of Arima Onsen, loved by the local people and bustling with large numbers of tourists.
