Kobe City Rokkosan Pasture

Enjoy petting animals and pasture-based gourmet at a high elevation

Kobe City Rokkosan Pasture lies on the mountainside of Mt. Rokko. Its high elevation means it is cool even in the summer, and offers an expanse of pastoral scenery almost like that of Switzerland.

Its extensive grounds hold grazing sheep, goats, cows, horses, and other animals, and time passes by peacefully here. The sheep freely roam around the pastures, so you can see their adorable figures up close. Experiences where visitors can touch the animals are very popular among children. Make the most of valuable experiences that aren't normally possible, including giving milk to calves, feeding goats, and riding a horse.

The gourmet food is one of the Pasture’s unique and great appeals. We recommend the CowBell milk cafe, where you can try fresh cows’ milk from the pastures and Kobe Cheese, a restaurant where you can feast on authentic cheese fondue. The shop offers an array of carefully selected dairy products, including cheese, ice cream, and butter. We also recommend touring the cheese factory and attending the hands-on event venue for dairy products!

Don’t miss the best location with sweeping views of the streets of Kobe. At sunset, you’ll be captivated by the magical sight of an orange-dyed sky and city lights. Why not leave behind the everyday, and come to a pasture where you can sooth your mind and body?
