In the city of Miki, known as the oldest forge town in Japan, listen to Shigeki Tanaka, the fourth head of Manufacturing and the only craftsman in the city to manually forge kitchen knives, talk about his craft, then take part in a forging activity where you hammer red hot steel on your own while Tanaka provides advice. - Generations dedicated to blade craftsmanship : The Tanaka family began manufacturing sickles as a blacksmith about 110 years ago. In 2000, they started making knives by changing their trade name to the current “Tanaka Kazuyuki Knife Manufacturing”.
Craftsman's commitment : Since 1996, Mr. Tanaka has produced numerous works with the motto of “Creating tools recognized by users”.
