Taiyo Park

A photogenic theme park inspired by world heritage

Taiyo Park is a theme park in the north of Himeji City with an extraordinary sense of scale, full of reproductions of famous stone buildings and cultural heritage from around the world.

The Stone Area consists of a row of buildings and stone statues from around the globe, including a 20-meter-high Arc de triomphe (France), Moai statues, a Great Wall of China, and a pyramid, creating the feeling that you’re on a journey around the world. The power of the “Terracotta Army” of more than 1,000 figures is particularly awe-inspiring.

You can reach the Castle Area in around 3 minutes on the monorail. Here, you’ll find the towering “Hakucho Castle,” a 2/3 scale reproduction of the German Neuschwanstein Castle. The inside is barrier-free, enabling people with strollers or wheelchairs to look around with peace of mind, and you can enjoy trick art that makes use of AR here. Why not keep your camera ready to take plenty of interesting photographs?

The Welcome House Swan includes a restaurant, cafe, and shop where you can buy souvenirs. It also offers a paid rental service for national costumes from around the world (women only). The park hosts many different events, making this a place for a leisurely day out.
