felissimo chocolate museum

A chocolate journey that stimulates all the senses: look and experience as you are enveloped by its sweet scent

felissimo chocolate museum, located in the Port of Kobe, is a museum irresistible to chocolate lovers, where you can learn about the history and culture of chocolate gathered from around the world. The sweet scent of chocolate drifts gently in the air as you step through the entrance. The museum displays approximately 20,000 pieces of chocolate packaging collected from around the globe, enabling you to learn about history and culture associated with chocolate and cacao. It also holds exhibitions and events, so you can have fun no matter how many times you visit. We recommend the Museum Guide, offered free of charge on weekdays! This involves members of staff called “myujiennu (pronounced muséennes)” giving a 20-minute guided tour around the museum and exhibits.

The “huge choco” display is one of the highlights. Three giant bars of white, milk, and dark chocolate are installed on the wall, but fragments of the chocolate pop right off! Take a piece of your favorite and pretend to eat it so you can take a fun commemorative photo.

There’s also a shop that sells exclusive chocolates and various products made using cacao beans where you can treat yourself and find that perfect souvenir! All the products look delicious, so you might find yourself stocking up. You can also buy original products based on chocolate and cacao, such as limited goods and illustrated books connected to the exhibitions.
