Nature - Awaji

Awaji Island Akashi Kaikyo National Park

This national park includes Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Awaji Island, and Kobe City. Many events are held here during spring and fall. Especially during spring, flowers like tulips and grape hyacinths make one of the most beautiful gardens you’ll ever see.

Prefectural Awaji Island Park

There’s a direct access from the highway service area. A large park with a panoramic view of the ocean, it’s about a 5 km walk to go around the entire park. 1-2km walking route is also available.

Keino-Matsubara Beach

50,000 Awaji Black Pines grown on the white beach facing Harima-Nada Sea. Selected as one of the best beaches of Japan, it is also famous for its beautiful sunset.

Nada-Kuroiwa Narcissus Field

Open between mid December to early March, but the best season is between mid January to late February. Many wild narcissuses grow on a steep hill facing the Pacific Ocean.

Tachikawa Narcissus Field

5 million narcissuses grow on the foot of Kashihara Mountain overlooking the Kitan Strait like a beautiful carpet. Sweet fragrance floats through the area, and the white and pale yellow flowers that go up the green mountain slope makes for a dreamy sight.

Goshiki-Hama (5 Colored Stone Beach)・Wellness Park Goshiki
