Izanagai Jingu (Shrine)
Izanami, who is said to be the creator of Japan, is enshrined here. According to the legend, he gave the work of ruling the country to Amaterasu before moving to this region to spend the rest of his life.

“The Seven Deities of Awaji” is very well respected on the island and are loved by many throughout Japan. They are said to bring good fortune, and they each have their own temples on the island.
