Kyukyoryuchi (Old Foreign Settlement)
The Old Foreign Settlement was established as a place where foreigners could live and trade when the Port of Kobe opened at the end of the Tokugawa regime. The beautiful, well-designed streets are based on examples of modern city planning from that time and look just like something from a story book.
