Tamba
Tamba pottery is one of the six ancient potteries in Japan, and it was first started back in the late Heian period and early Kamakura period (1180-1230). During its long history, Tamba pottery’s pursuit for usefulness has made this traditional artwork simple, yet elegant. Tamba Tachikui Kiln is currently designated as a National Intangible Cultural Asset.
