These are the most popular chestnuts in Japan for their size and flavor. Tamba Chestnuts are used in traditional Japanese dishes such as yokan (sweets made of sweet beans), kanro-ni (simmered in sweet sauce), and natto. These dishes are also a popular souvenir from this area.
