Also known as the “Kitchen of Akashi,” the Uo-no-tana fish market stretches for 350 meters and has about a hundred stores that handle mainly fresh seafood and other seafood products.
The ever-popular Akashi-yaki would be the best choice for a quick bite after a nice walk. They are flour dumplings with pieces of octopus inside and are dipped in fish broth.
Maiko Marine Promenade・Japan Bridge Engineering Center

Maiko Marine Promenade is a part of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge which is used as an observatory. The Japan Bridge Engineering Center is a science museum dedicated to the technology and science used to build this world’s longest suspension bridge.
Matsuho-no-yu (Lunch at Awaji Service Area)

Once you’re in Awaji, the first thing you’ll want to do is relax at Matsuho-no-yu. An outdoor natural hot spring with an amazing view overlooking the Akashi Strait and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is surely be a great way to start off the Awaji trip!
