Japan is a country with distinctive changes of seasons.
In Hyogo, a shirt and jacket or light sweater will do in spring and fall.
As day / night temperature differences are sharp in May and September, it would
be better to have clothes that are easy to put on and take off.
As it is considerably hot in summer, it is advisable to have clothes with good
ventilation and absorption qualities ready from June through August.
However, a jacket may become handy in many strongly air conditioned places.
As it becomes significantly cold in winter, especially from December through February,
a wool sweater, heavy coat, gloves, hat, etc., are a must.
Slacks are more convenient than skirts, and carry heavier socks, as there are
many opportunities to remove one's shoes in Japan. |
