"Sakagura-kan of Sake Museum and sake breweries area"

Sakagurakan Sakagura

Nishinomiya is famous for sake brewing because the clear water which called Miyamizu gushed out from Nishinomiya. It was necessary to brew tasty sake.
There are a lot of sake breweries around there and you will smell of Japanese sake when you pass the side of many breweries in Nishinomiya.
At Sakagura-kan which consists of Sake Museum, you can tour the process of sake brewing and watch many tools that were used in those days in the old building(Sakagura) which was built in the Meiji period.


Open: 10:00-17:00 (Please enter until 16:30)
Closed: Every Tuesday
(closed the next day in case of a holiday),
the summer season,the ending and the beginning of the year.
Admission: adult ¥400, student ¥200 (Different from special exhibition)
Access: Get on the bus bound for Nishinomiya-hama from south bus terminal at Nishinomiya stn, get off at Kotsu Koen mae stop.

"Koshien Stadium"

Koshien Stadium

Have you ever watched exciting baseball game in Koshien Stadium ?
This stadium is the home ground of the professional base ball team, Hanshin Tigers. Moreover their fans are known as the most wildly excited fans in all of the professional baseball teams in Japan. Every summer and spring, the National High School baseball championship Tournament is held in this ball park.
Many high school players have been longing for playing here.
In summer time, when you watch the high school baseball game, I want to suggest you drinking "Kachiwari-gori" which is a hidden local specialty in Koshien Stadium. It`s just ice in cold water which is easy-packed, but it will make you cool.

Access: Get off at Hanshin Koshien station, and 5min on foot.

"Nishinomiya Shrine"

Nishinomiya Shrine

Nishinomiya Shrine is the head house of the Ebisu, which is the deity of wealth and commerce. This deity is highly popular as being called "Ebessan".
"Toka Ebisu" (the 10th day of the Ebisu festival) takes place on January 10th each year, more than one million people visit here to get good luck.


Access: Get off at Hanshin Nishinomiya station, 5min. on foot.

"Otani Memorial Art Museum"

Otani Memorial Art Museum Otani Memorial Art Museum -Teien-

Otani Memorial Art Museum was opened in 1972 based on the contribution, including art works and the house from the late Mr. Takejiro Otani to Nishinomiya City.
You can have an appreciation of wonderful Japanese and European works of modern art. This museum has beautiful Japanese garden which is full of green, and you will have a walk there. It will give you a good time.

"Shin Nishinomiya Yacht Harbor"

The Mermaid

The New Nishinomiya Harbor is one of the greatest scale of yachts harbor in Japan, and is able to take in 700 yacht. The smallest yacht "The Mermaid" is displayed at "the Center House". This is a yacht which Mr. Kenichi Horie made a voyage across the pacific Ocean by oneself as the first time in Japan.
In the unrestricted area, visitors can stroll therough the many docked boats.
Especially, I recommend you to visit here early in the evening. You will see beautiful sunset while taking a long look at yacht harbor.


Access: Get off Hanshin Bus at Yacht harbor mae bus stop.
